PlayOn lacks an Android client (supposedly the web interface should work and maybe UPnP) and has no remote solution except on the iPad

UPnP only. Might work for Android with built in UPnP but iOS had no native UPnP (and some shitty UPnP apps). Also no remote access -- nm

I'm not sure if that was one that I tried but UPnP can't be the lone protocol because it fails when I leave the house -- nm
