Interesting idea. All my media is currently on a 250GB USB drive (I also have a FreeAgent but it's smaller, only 60GB I think)

if i understand write, you dont have to use a freeagent drive, any usb drive (so therefore an exteneral usb 1tb drive maybe) would work.

It does seem to do just that. Very very interesting. I also found an Android based app that works like the Air Video
