Ok, I'll stick my head out there. I really don't think it's appropriate for an 8 year old.

I'm not trying to start an argument, it looks like you're looking for opinions.
I don't think any one song, tv show, movie, or video game will turn a kid "bad". But it do believe there's a cumulative effect that can totally affect a child's attitude toward other people, especially people in positions of authority in his/her life.
7-8 Years ago a lot of parents had no problem allowing their daughters (as young as 5-6) go to Britney Spears concerts. Then as young girls' clothing got racier and racier, they thought it was "cute" that little Suzy wanted to emulate her favorite star. Next thing you know, companies are making thongs (saying "sweet thing") in size 4-6x and the parent's get outraged. Duh.
If you've driven by a high school lately right about go home time, you'll see first hand what hell the Britney effect has caused. This is purely anecdotal, but my best friend has taught middle school for 18 years. She's told me that she has caught so many "couples" indulging in blow jobs (during the school day, sometimes even in the middle of a classroom during a film) that she's lost count. Each time, when asked why, the kids (who aren't in the least ashamed) have told her 1. it's not REALLY sex and 2. everybody does it all the time.
This kind of behavior isn't the fault of the children, it's the fault of the parents for being way too permissive and not being able to say no.
Anyway, this of course, is just my opinion and you can take it or leave it. :D
