Do you have a certain number of personal days you can take off unpaid before there are consequences?

If so, then it would be like double dipping. Taking both paid and unpaid time on the same day.
As an employer, an unpaid day is a full day that I not only don't pay you, but I also don't have to match social security and medicare payments for you.
