When I had a photo stdio in san fran, some bum's (lmost literally, a guy jumped a frieghter, hooked up with a gay goofball that got an insurance settlement whie staying in some dive flop house hotel). They opened a lunchncounter type place between funky movie theaters. Critic called it the best french place in the city. Of course there were lines down the block after that, and this was an area where standing still usually mean t you were a dealer or dead.
