I was snorkeling at Spencer Beach on Hawaii's Big Island.

I was certified back in '95 just before a trip to Australia, where I dove on the reef. Since then, I have only snorkeled, which I love. I love SCUBA, too, but it's a hassle for my hayfever-plugged ears. (Although drugs have improved in the interim in that regard).
I always bring my snorkel stuff anywhere warm I go, and try to slip in. Spencer Beach is great because it is so calm. We were mainly there for the kids to play in the surf, but there was some cool snorkeling, too.
