I'm now +1 against Plumbing. Would you like to know more?

It wasn't a big deal at all.

Our bathroom sink has been dripping hot water, and it's been becoming worse.
So last night, I get home, cut off the water and disassemble the faucet handles.
Take out the spindle***, fish out the washer and spring underneath, go to the
hardware store and find the repair kits.

Get back home, reassemble everything and get the water back on - all in about
45 minutes. Shocked at how easy this was.

***The only catch came when I was cleaning up.
I noticed that at the bottom of the hot water spindle, a little metal was protruding out from it.
I looked at the washer, and the top of it had gotten all carved up from the metal - this accounted
for the leak. It was odd, though, b/c the spindle is plastic.

I pried the metal piece out and look it it - it's a tiny copper (maybe brass) heart -
about 1/8 or 1/16 inch across. No idea how it got wedged in there. But it's this tiny perfect
little heart shaped piece of metal. Tried to get a picture of it, but it was too small to photograph.
