We lent my BIl $500 a few months ago to help with their mortgage bill when they were having some issues.

I hate saying where I heard this the other night, but "don't lend people money if you don't have it to lend, since you probably won't get it back." I guess at this point, I'm not expecting to get it back, since it hasn't been mentioned again.

(I was flipping through stations the other night and that stupid "Delilah" (?) show was on. She was answering an email from a listener, and it just happened to be relevant to me. Then she started quoting the bible and I turned it off.)
