In response to "if my bank does this, I'll switch to a credit union faster than fast. -- nm" by Kim Pine

not so fast. my credit union (Keypoint) has similar fees. I only found out about one a couple of days ago, after charges hit my account. (grr ahead)

when you almost exclusively transact with them online, receive statements that way, etc., it really sucks that the only way to know about a new fee is from some fine-print something in the mail. (that I don't actually think I received.. grr.) well, I did know about it after seeing the fees hit my account.

which I promptly closed - it only had a few dollars in it, they never said I needed more until the new deal; and there was zero cost to them for my having it, but whatever. gone.
