He's our former Governor. Old, overly tan white dude who went from a Republican to Independent because he was losing to Rubio, basically.

and still lost to Rubio.
And probably took some of the Democrats votes with him when he ran, so Rubio won pretty handily. (Not that Meeks was a strong contender, though.)
