"
Sorry, I'll side with her. She wasn't bitchy about it. As a customer she asked for something specific to be done that doesn't even rise

Actually, in several cases, it could make the job harder. A lot of McD's have boxes of toys...boys and girls.

Unless they're running a specific promotion, one car could get a Bakugan while the next gets a Tech Deck or something like that.
I don't get the harm in asking "boy or girl" toy.
Responses:
I think the harm is that it's causing employees to disregard customer requests. "see a girl, pull out girl toy"

that sounds more like a staff issue than an issue with the toys. -- nm

It *is* a staff issue. She wasn't complaining about the toys, but how the staff distributes them. -- nm

I don't know dude...when I used to go through the drive through, they'd ask "Boy or girl toy" and I'd tell them 2 boy toys.

Apparently this drive through has employees who do look and then override the customer's stated desire. -- nm

right, when they handed me the girl toy, i'd just say 'no, sorry, i asked for three bakugans.' they aren't going to waste time arguing with you. -- nm

OK, but that means she's just like all of us, in that a dumbass McD's worker effed up our order.

Sure...but they eff up my kid's ketchup and pickles only request at least 60% of the time...why is this different? -- nm

I think the difference is, they make a choice taht overrides what the parent asked for. -- nm

I don't think that's the case. I think it's the fact that they pay NO attention to anything you say.

OK sure, but I can't get that upset if a McD's cashier in a busy line defaults to giving little girls Hello Kitty toys.

Sometimes a cashier in a busy line gives me real Coke instead of Diet. That pisses me off. I don't drink real coke, and I asked for diet.

If my order is constantly wrong like that I start shopping elsewhere. I hear there's a burger joint that'll fix it my way.
