The programs were carried around in cache vehicles.
I believe when the planes at the end flew straight up it might have referenced Matrix 3 when Neo/Trinity did the same.
Lots of Big Lebowski moments.
And oh my gosh that minimalistic architecture in Flynn's cyberhouse was beautiful.
There was so much for me to like in this flick. It might not *quite* be up to Avatar for me, but it's quite close. It just needed one more... life in the Grid type scene.
