their suspect isn't new by any means ... there have been books and articles written about him. The team found a lot of circumstantial evidence against this guy, but nothing really compelling. They used the standard nonsense argument "Isn't it *funny* that there are coincidences?"
From what I gathered on the web, the FBI has indeed been investigating this guy. Supposedly they requested Christiansen's DNA back in 2007. Since we haven't heard any news releases related to that, it's hard to say what the results were. The FBI has already publicly said they ruled out another guy based on DNA.
basically, nothing new was revealed and no good evidence was shown.
I also really don't liek that after the hijacking, this guy kept working for NWA for 21 years. oh come ON! I don't think this guy is Cooper. I think he was probably embezzling money from NWA the old fashioned way. His bank accounts showed way more money than was taken in the skyjacking, and embezzling would account for all of his mysterious financial behavior.
