Today we drove through the worst snow I've seen since being in Montreal to get to the clinic.

We must have gotten 4-6" of snow. It's absurd. Everything is white. This is a once-in-a-century event for this area. But a few years back we learned our lesson from all the ice storms and got some really good tires. But that doesn't protect us from dumbasses who don't know what they're doing.

I actually saw people skiing on the street! I also saw abandoned cars. Not because they were wrecked, but simply because people decided they had made a mistake going out in this weather.

We got tailgated by one dumbass who, as we were going down a hill, started slip-sliding along so we promptly pulled over to one side and let him pass, and he floored it (I expect he'll be dead in a ditch by nightfall). After my wife returned me home, she went to work and reported that one hill had every car on it sliding it. The car in front of her slid into the curb. She fishtailed but recovered. The cars behind her all slid as well. But there was no pile-up at the bottom of the hill. She's wondering how she's going to get home, now.
