so, after being given a day to live last week, Dave's dad rallied. I kept meaning to tell you, but i figured as soon as i typed that, he'd have another stroke and that would be that.

but, no. he's the toughest 91 year old, ever.

he got stronger over the past week and they finally did a scan yesterday and turns out he has bleeding in the brain (apparently) and he was taken to a larger hospital a few hours away last night and is about to undergo brain surgery later today. Again, he's 91.

dave has decided to fly to meet the newly found nephew (who is now in North America meeting his birth family from England) in Virginia Beach tomorrow night anyway. fingers crossed he doesn't come to regret that decision......
