Definitely don't pay it without some form of "proof" that you owe it. Are they able to give you the card #? Anything?

If you can get the account number they're calling on, you could probably call Citifinancial and see what info THEY can give you.

You don't really want to ignore it, because they can sue you and get a judgement against you. And you don't want to pay it, because you'll never get that money back.

- There is a statute...but there's nothing confirming they're collecting on that 10 year old card. This could be a newer card that someone opened in - Jim Jan 13, 11:05
