i think you cut it back, but not *all* the way. it will send up a new stem, eventually.

i had one, once, that reflowered. it was in my old office. i basically just ignored it for a year except for watering it occassionally, and miraculously, it bloomed again. basically as long as the leaves are alive, the plant is fine.
