Listed officiants for gay wedding w/in 50 miles
Elected openly gay officials
Tegan and Sara performances in last 5 years (Hysterical)
lesbian bars
gay and friendly religious congregations
entries in yellow pages with "gay" in name/description

sum those and divide by the population within city limits

Hint #6: This city in the US shares the same name as a city in Canada.
