Don't give it up, just cut back on how often you eat it.

I have pizza about once a month, on a Friday after a long week when I've been good cutting carbs all week. I don't find my sugar blows up to alarming levels. You have to have stuff you like once in a while or else you get discouraged and fall back into bad habits.
