A go bag is the thing you grab when you have to evacuate immediately (think tsunami or raging wild fire). Besides being good planning, I thought about the irreplaceable personal stuff that I would lose that I would be unable to take with me, so while I did include a few photos along with the passport, birth certificate and diplomas; I also got as much as I could in electronic format and uploaded to the web, plus I have several flash drives stashed at work, a friend's house and with my parents.
Take the steps now to preserve your own irreplaceable items.
