I always figured the 'hundreds less' was when people who had old tickets/DUI on their records but clean since were being whacked hard by their old ..

company but given the regular rate early by the new company to steal teh client.
that's what happened to my SO, she had an old DUI and her insurance was still charging her high rates for it, the new company figured she was clean and now she has regular rates.
