In response to "You won't believe this, but there are people in Portland riding their bikes on ice- and snow-covered streets." by ReluctantCynic

We got another 10-12 inches since last night and the skiiers are out in force. Crash has kept up with the sidewalks and the walk up to the front

porch. We park on the street and fortunately we use those giant plows that are hooked to dump trucks--so we don't have a mountain of snow along the edge of the streets, the driver scrapes a bunch up then throws it in the back. They haven't plowed our street for a while though, it's 6 inches deep on top of the old packed snow and ice--the plows can't keep up right now. The wild thing is, we have snow in the forcast for the next 5 days with temps ranging from 10-25--perfect snow temps.

So, Portland is gonna have a white christmas? How many years since that's happened?
