The last time Portland had anything close to a white Christmas was 1980.

At least according to local news. And then, it was only a light dusting of snow that melted the next day.
Also, Portland has apparently received more snow in the past 72 hours than the last 10 years combined, and more snow in the past 10 days than the last 40 years combined.
