Great concert last night at a fancy new venue in downtown LA. X (A-), New York Dolls (A), and Cracker (B+)

New York Dolls kind of stole the show. Their set was... tumultuous, even though their style is not exactly my cup of tea.

Club Nokia, across the street from the Staples Center. A fine venue, but right now it's too new and shiny. I look forward to seeing it age and gain character. Like urine and spilled alchohol. The sound was noticeably great. It's nice when you could go to a loud punk rock concert and actually make out the lyrics.

I got myself a nice dose of rock n' roll last night.
