i have one. it's really only big enough for some documents, passports, a few small items.

but i feel better having it. i even leave the key in the lock (it's under the bed). there's nothing in it of value to a thief so i'd rather they look and not bother carrying the thing away. but if something happened fire-wise it would be safe (the key would probably melt, but i'll deal with that later).
also - i always know where all that stuff actually is.
(i put my usb drives in there recently after a post here)
