Also, Shaw only started charging for overages/UBB on Feb 01 2011. So it's a brand new feature of their service.

Previously they were issuing warnings and possibly reducing data rates for abusive downloaders.

So some of the resentment about that sort of change in business practice helped give steam to this conflict.

Pro-Business shouldn't mean Pro-Oligopoly. It should be Pro-Competition, because more businesses = more jobs.
