Catfish spoiler question

So did Meg - the daughter who owned the horse farm & flirted with Nev - actually exist?

The young daughter Abby said that she hardly ever saw her, which meant that she knew of her, maybe.

The caption at the end said that there was no Meg at the treatment center, but that didn't address specifically whether or not she existed or not.
