Without even a glimpse of Disneyland yet (12 minutes into the movie), it's a fascinating glimpse of life in the mid-50s.
The air travel...
The hotel pool scene (the diving boards look like construction scaffolding)...
The lack of hookers and drug dealers in Hollywood...
etc.
