Interesting, after the last CA earthquake regulators changed the rules for moving companies. They used to impose a minimum charge - got rid of that

and now they have a maximum charge.
A local move is based on an hourly rate:
2 men & a truck $65.00 per hour
3 men & a truck $85.00 per hour
4 men & 2 trucks $135.00 per hour
5 men & 2 trucks $155.00 per hour
6 men & 2 trucks $175.00 per hour
These rates all include: FREE basic insurance, FREE use of wardrobe boxes, NO mileage charge, FREE use of quilted pads.
