Ok, so I have to say...for as much complaining as I do about Apple...their customer service is pretty awesome...

so Carrie has a 120GB iPod Classic. Had it for about a year. All of a sudden it has a line across the screen.
She calls them yesterday to set an appointment to bring it in. Dude on the phone tells her, well, I'm just gonna try to reset it and if it doesn't work, get a replacement.
So, he helps her reset it over the phone...problem not fixed. He gives her a Repair ID #.
I took the iPod to UPS yesterday after work, unwrapped, just in it's original box with this repair #. That was all I needed.
Just got an email from Apple with as FedEx tracking number...Carrie's replacement iPod will be here by 11am tomorrow.
I can't say how impressed I am to have this thing replaced in less than 48 hours.
