I'm leaning towards "she's just using you", but... like Will says - wanting you as an influence on her kids is a big deal.

I've been in this role before, as the placeholder male friend between lovers/SOs.
It's not the best position to be in, but I have a hard time saying I regret any of these experiences.
I mean, it still beats sitting at home alone, right?
