In response to "make a big dish and freeze half" by zeitgeist

we made an effort to clean out our freezer, tried to make chili out of a 5 year old sirloin roast, was not very successful

I mean the idea is, you buy lots of meats in january when the prices are supposed to be the lowest and eat them in the summer when they hit their highs, but with all the stuff we just tossed because it was obviously frezzer burned I think we lost $$$
