nice, usually they just get 'thin'...if the cork isn't dried out and crumbly or if the wine isn't dripping out then its usually ok.

Ive had good luck with old wines, I love buying 20 yo gallo or other crud to bring to a friend's cheap wine tasting party.

The object is, to find bargain wines for everyday drinking, yellow tail, pillar post red etc, unfortunately if someone brings something that's a winner, the first 3 or 4 people pouring themselves a glass will fill up and nobody else even knows its there, whereas the crap from dented can outlet litters the table.
