In response to "MDH: Grammys thoughts? -- nm" by nubby

I'm mostly fine with the winners to be honest.

I don't listen to much Arcade Fire but from what I've heard of them I think it was a solid choice. But I honestly don't have the knowledge to make that decision hands down.

Dance recording sticks out as a joke. Only Girl in the World was a decent song, but no where near the caliber of the other songs nominated.

I'm glad Esperanza Spalding beat out Bieber. he's horrible.

Eminem didn't deserve most of his nominations, and he didn't get them so I thought the Grammys did a decent job picking who should actually have won.

Performances:

Bieber clearly hit puberty and his voice changed. It's not horrible, but it'll be interesting to see what kind of music he makes now.

Usher is finally one step closer to coming out of the closer. Usher, WTF are you wearing, and cut your hair.

Lady Gaga arriving in an egg, yes it was for press, but it was also a great message for her song. Her performance was awesome and showed why she is the most powerful force in music today. I thought she was fantastic. It wasn't over the top, it was a solid dance club number that would get everyone moving. Ricky Martin gayed out when announcing her.

Cee Lo looked like a muppet. Not sure how I feel about the whole thing, (I did like that they called the song, the song known as "forget you."_ but he was so winded by the end of it.

Katy Perry was not nearly as bad as I had anticipiated. I am surprised she didn't sing her single Firework though. But I love the song "Not like the movies" so I'm okay with it.

Any other thoughts?
