Inception, 127 hrs, True Grit, even Toy Story 3... i.e., all the other ones I've seen...

...left me a lot more inspired/awed/affected than Social Network. It's just more interesting -- even fascinating -- than moving.
Which may not be the sole or even main factor on which the BP is or should be selected.
True Grit is my favorite if for no other reason that, ten minutes into it, I was already looking forward to watching it a second time. Not one flaw in that movie, IMO.
