What I did like when skiing though were regular mittens with individual finger holes inside made of just the lining.

So to the outside appearance, mitten.
Inside, individual finger holes like gloves, but the fingers still share heat some since there isn't the thicker shell in between each finger.
Those things were the dopeness.
