ouch. Option #1 sucks for her risk (and the risk of others on the road). Option #2 sucks for your risk.
I don't know what I'd do. I'd like to say I'd take the risk and go #2, because it feels like the 'right thing to do' but I just don't know that I have that risk tolerance. Plus, she is responsible for her actions (except they could hurt others).
ARGH, this sucks. (sorry man)
