they went into complications associated with shootings last season, he was investigated for each shooting
and as far as the place being lawless/crazy, its got a definite rural meth problem but so do a lot of other places
the violence is magnified by the acting on the show but there really isn't any more killings or anything than on any other TV show - and far less than on say Hawaii 5-0
and ultimately, federal law enforcement presence is a function of politics - who will get higher priority. Miami or Eastern Kentucky?
