probably not great. they're torching 30% of their stores right away...
so that'll take some pressure off. but they've got a lot of creditors looking for money. i think there's probably still some room in the marketplace for some well curated, physical bookstores that take their environment + service seriously + also supplement sales with higher margin stuff like food + coffee, but the faceless superstore concept a la borders probably doesn't have a lot of room to run.
