If it's below market rate, and it's a unique player like Pujols.....maybe you do.

He's proven to be a once-in-a-generation bat, and a plus glove.

I'm not saying it's a no-brainer to signing him to $25+M/yr, but *if* there is any player that might be worth it for the Cards, it's Pujols.
