I have not had bronchitis (or a bad cough) in a while, but when I do, it's really, really bad.

A few years ago I phoned up Mel just to demonstrate. I sound like an 80 year old with emphysema (my grandfather was an 80 year old with emphysema, and I mean literally that I sound like that). I tend to get coughing spasms that can go up to 30 minutes, and sometimes I black out.

however, I also come from a family that all my life, whenever I get sick, insists that I'm fine and I'm being melodramatic. so, I don't have a healthy perspective on what's serious. Sometimes I freak out over stupid shit, and sometimes I overlook stuff that's serious.

families are weird.
