This, when my aunt was dying of liver failure you were only allowed in for a few minutes at a time. Including her kids.

even though they knew she was dying. Your time would be better spent helping him later on that sitting in a waiting room.
But like I said, it's a tough choice and I definitely get the desire to be there.
