I'm guessing that Philip saw the writing on the wall and knew that the three votes they had between them wasn't enough to vote out Rob and would only but them on his bad side. They came into Tribal Council with what strategy? To get them all to vote Kristina and then she'd play the idol and the three remaining votes would be enough to boot Rob? I suppose that's possible. I suppose it's also possible that after the melt down, Rob's Angels (I like that, I'm trademarking it) all agreed to split the vote to flush out the idol but they screwed up, because for it to work, the majority had to vote against Kristina. If they did it openly, it explains why Kristina didn't play the idol: because she knew the majority of votes were going against Francesca.
