I mentioned that in an IM on B2.....I am sure that the dollar is the biggest one but it all adds up in discouraging travel.....

My parents are going to Cuba next month and its awful how much the difference between that cost of the trip and how much extra you pay in fees and taxes....I think for them its was almost one third.
All I am saying is that my family used to travel a lot when I was younger to lots of cool places in the US. I have penants from dozens from states and cities. I dont believe I have been in almost 10 years and even then it was to visit someone in Florida. You have to make a plan now to pop across the border where I dont think we ever did in the 80's. It was just a long shopping trip.
