Well, Scorcese's Film Foundation preserves movies using some digital medium that can definitely be called "HD." Moreso, even.

I saw Raging Bull in a large movie theater here sometime last year, and it was on that medium. It was kinda spectacular, but you kinda miss the projectorisms while watching...
