One thing that's absolutely brilliant this year is
Portrait of Boyd Crowder as an Absolutely Lost Soul
I really wondered what they would do with him after S1 wrapped.
He really has no port, aside from drinking (see what I did there?)
You can feel him fighting against letting himself backslide. One thing this does is to clarify for me whether or not he himself bought his own conversion undergone in prison. During S1, I wasn't quite sure if he himself believed it was genuine.
As much as he's exiling himself, at the same time he really needs someone to believe in him, and, to the show's credit, Raylan goes out of his way to state that he does not.
As much as I liked him becoming unhinged last night when he drove off in the truck with the guy hanging off, the moments when we was waiting to see if the guy would move while laying on the side of the road were inspired.
