actually from what the Dem. Leader said, they had the bill rammed down their throat with no publicity and less than 4 days to deal with it

and felt that their only recourse to make sure the public understood how bad the bill is, was to take the action they took.
Was it right? I have no idea, but I don't believe what the Governor and Rep. Senators are do is right either.
