So your equitable answer is that your salary should be stagnant while state employee's take a pay decrease.

Note: Your pay stagnation benefited your private employer, not the state and, assuming your taxes have not gone up, you actually have NOT given anything in the battle to balance the budget.
I agree the problem is not going away, and there is going to be pain. However, I think you have a bit of a skewed view of just how much state employees make, as well as your contribution thus far to solving the problem.
