my mother worked for the school system. she could not believe how many people who did not deserve to keep a job were able to keep their jobs because the unions saved them.
it's one thing to keep evil employers from having bad working conditions, but when inept people not only keep their jobs when they are incompetant but also prosper at the expense of others
