I have said. I will continue to say. Four years I have paid my dues for a horrible economy. In our state. Ours, not California, not Florida.
The state employees have gotten 5-7% raises in those 4 years.
Me=pain
Them=pretty damn good (considering inflation is at less than 1% over those increases)
Now we are broke. Well, not exactly broke. We are 3.2 billion dollars in the red this year.
Who gets to make that get to zero?
Me? (Me=Pain)
Or them? (them=pretty damn good)
If I was in a raft with 2 other people. And I had lost my leg to a shark, was malnourished but, not at deaths door.
There was another guy who had eaten three meals a day, and was in good health.
And guy number three needed a blood transfusion to live.
Ty, you sound like the fair thing to do would be for BOTH of us to give a little blood, over the healthy guy giving a pint.
I have already been hurt. Why do I have to hurt more, because they can't give the same am mounts I already have?
They were getting raises in a BAD ECONOMY!! They shouldn't have got them. I didn't. The only difference is my boss could see the writing on the wall and went into self preservation mode.
The Government spent like there wasn't anything wrong.
The only reason we are talking about me. Is if I used generalisasions you would ask for proof. I am using myself as proof. I promise you there are many many more of me out there. Our unemployment is 10.6%
We are getting hammered.
